Q&A

How did your journey lead you to Gindi Equities, and what do you find most rewarding about your role here?
I began my career with the goal of building institutional experience and ultimately applying it at Gindi Equities. While studying at NYU, I received a full-time offer to join Santander’s Corporate & Investment Bank on the FX Sales team. Because I graduated a semester early, I spent eight months at Gindi Equities beforehand as an analyst, focusing on underwriting and supporting asset management. That experience gave me a hands-on understanding of the operations of the business and how value is created at the asset level.

I then joined Santander, where I spent over two years advising corporates and financial sponsors on complex hedging solutions, executing ~$20bn in FX and interest rate derivatives. That experience significantly reinforced my analytical strength and broadened my perspective on how sophisticated investors think about risk, structure, and execution. I developed a deeper appreciation for capital markets, risk management, and institutional processes.

Returning to Gindi Equities felt like a natural next step. Today, my work centers on translating strategy into action through building the systems, accountability, and structure that allow the firm to scale thoughtfully and execute at a high level. What I find most rewarding is the direct immediate impact. In a smaller, entrepreneurial environment, I’m able to see ideas move quickly from concept to results.

What are some interesting items on your desk right now, and can you share any exciting projects you’re keeping an eye on?
Right now a major focus is implementing AI across the business in a practical, results-driven way. We’re evaluating how AI can enhance underwriting, streamline asset management reporting, improve internal workflows, and ultimately help us make faster, more informed decisions.

In 2026, what trends or developments do you anticipate shaping the multifamily sector this year?
This year I expect continued normalization for multifamily as markets fully adjust to the higher-rate environment. Buyers and sellers are becoming more aligned on pricing, which should help drive an increase in transaction activity compared to the slowdown we saw during peak uncertainty. In the Carolinas, our core market, fundamentals remain strong with population growth and job migration continuing to support demand. We’re also entering the back half of the supply cycle as new deliveries slow and construction starts decline, which should provide further tailwinds.

On a personal note, what do you enjoy doing in your free time, or are there any hobbies or interests that keep you inspired outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family, something I’m fortunate to do even more of now that we work together daily. I’m also a big Formula 1 fan and follow the season closely. I enjoy skiing and water sports whenever I can, and I’ve always liked competitive strategy games like chess and backgammon. I’m drawn to things that involve focus, discipline, and a bit of competition.
