Q&A

Can you tell us a little about your professional journey and how it led you to your current role?

My journey definitely hasn’t been linear, but every step along the way has added to the experience I bring to what I do now. I started my career in publishing at Harper & Row in Inventory, moved into sales—first as a Sales Associate, then a DC-metro Sales Rep at Putnam Berkley (formerly Putnam Penguin), and eventually became the National Book Sales Manager at Marvel Comics.

In between Publishing, I pivoted into the structured annuity space, working as a Research Manager and then a Marketing Manager. I later launched my own marketing firm, Brainchild Marketing, in Washington, D.C., which I ran until it closed after 9/11. That’s when I moved back to New York and transitioned into commercial real estate, where I’ve spent the past 20 years focused on operations and investor relations.

My role at Gindi Equities is the first time I’ve taken on executive support responsibilities, which has added a fresh layer of experience to my already varied career path. I genuinely enjoy working with our investors, getting to know them, building relationships, and doing my best to support their needs.

What’s currently on your desk, and are there any exciting projects you’re working on?

My desk is a blend of my personality and practicality—I keep a pink desk blotter, a matching set of girlie office tools, and a growing rubber band ball made from daily mail deliveries. It’s just a little desk project that makes me smile.

Currently, I’m focused on expanding our internal operations manual using Playbook Builder. This guide includes step-by-step workflows, images, videos, and task lists to ensure consistency by memorializing all my tasks. It’s an evolving project that helps new team members get the overall picture of their tasks at Gindi Equities. It also makes it easier to repeat things consistently across the team.

Are there any key investor relations or operational changes to note in 2025 or new initiatives on the horizon?

Investor Relations remains a key pillar of my work at Gindi Equities. Since stepping into my role, I’ve been committed to elevating the investor experience—making every interaction efficient, accurate, and thoughtful. Our team prioritizes timely responses and open communication.

Looking ahead, I’m hoping to introduce more automation tools such as reimbursement apps or other systems that can streamline both how we communicate with investors and how we manage day-to-day operations. Small efficiencies can make a big difference.

On a personal note, what do you enjoy doing in your free time, or are there any hobbies or interests that keep you inspired outside of work?

I really believe in keeping the brain active, so I’m always learning something new. I’m enrolled in a financial modeling course to round out my investor relations expertise and deepen my analytical skills. I love learning and see it as an investment in my professional toolkit.

Outside of that, I love spending time with my family and friends— we hike (I’m training for a 102-mile walk in the Cotswolds), go boating (I’m licensed in NJ), and we laugh… a lot. I’m also working on a yearlong decluttering my home, preparing for whatever new adventure comes next. Whether it’s a spreadsheet or a trail map, I’m happiest when I’m working toward something meaningful.
